TESDA ORIENTAL MINDORO DEPLOYS ONLINE T2MIS

Calapan City I February 16, 2017 – In line with the implementation of TESDA’s two-pronged strategy towards poverty reduction and relative to the directive of the President Rodrigo R. Duterte to use ICT improve service delivery to its clients, TESDA pursued the development and improvement to its Monitoring of Information System (MIS) which include TESDA TRAINING MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (T2MIS), an online data system, this is a back office application that shall monitor the agency’s performance in training, assessment and certification. Also to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of regular and scholarship programs. (TESDA Circular No. 2 S. 2017)
With this new web-based system, Provincial Office of Oriental Mindoro facilitated a 1 day TESDA Training Management Information System (T2MIS) deployment held at Nikita’s Place, Tawiran, Calapan City. It was attended by 63 School Registrars/MONET/UTPRAS Focals of Technical Vocational Institutions and 14 Assessment Focals from different Assessment Centers of the province.
The program started with morning amenities led by Ms. Baby Darel Reyes Mendoza, TESD Specialist 1 of Provincial Office and the host for this deployment,
followed by an opening remarks from the Provincial Director Dr. Asuncion M. Ordona, she emphasized that T2MIS is the key for an organized data base and she welcomed participants blissfully, while the acknowledgment of participants was tasked to Mr. Manuel L. Rabulan Jr., TESD Specialist II.
Mr. Mark Angelo Camacho Dote and Ms. Fritz Tobias from the Regional Operation’s Division (ROD) elaborated the online based system incorporating the Unique Learner Identifier (ULI) and demonstrate how to operate the system. Furthermore, Ms. Rosalina P. Reyes emphasized that this system is beneficial in improving data processing, formulating policy and skills development capability and also generated timely Statistical Reports. Also to avoid double counting or “ghost trainees”, and to improve efficiency of the agency’s administrative machinery and delivery of services to its various clients.
In addition, Mr. Jose Roy N. Ramos, Chief Executive Officer of Technosolar Energy Corporation gave a brief discussion on Techno Solar Energy proposed in Oriental Mindoro, intended for employment and on-the-job training and as potential partner of TESDA Oriental Mindoro.
The deployment end well as the participants were able to learn the process of online T2MIS. And through the collaborative efforts of TESDA Provincial Office and the active participation of the schools the deployment was conducted harmoniously.

TESDA MiMaRoPa Leadership Turn Over Ceremony

January 5, 2017 , TESDA Regional Office facilitated  the turn over ceremony for the new management that was held at TESDA MiMaRoPa Conference Hall, 4th Floor, Luna Bldg., Sta. Maria Village, Calapan City.

OIC – Regional Director Edwin T. Andoyo, harmoniously turned over the leadership of TESDA MiMaRoPa to the newly appointed Regional Director Carlos C. Flores, CESO IV.

 

It was attended by the Regional Office staffers, OIC/Provincial Directors of 5 Provinces of MiMaRoPa, OIC/Vocational School Administrators of TTI’s and staff of Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office.

Provincial Director Dr. Asuncion M. Ordoňa on BKKK and Availment of Scholarship Grant at TESDA – DWXR 101.1 FM Radio Interview

 

 

PD Ordoňa emphasized that BKKK is a flagship program of TESDA for barangay constituents who would like to avail of free skills training, the project shall showcase converging strategies of the National Government Agencies (NGAS), Local Government Units (LGUs) and public and private technical vocational institutions (TVIs), the primordial objective of TESDA is to programs and services closer to the marginal people in the rural areas by catering to the out of school youth, unemployed men and women, drug dependents and other beneficiaries, who wish to acquire for self-employment, employment abroad or entrepreneurship.

TESDA Provincial Office provided the Barangay Skills Mapping Survey Template to barangays in coordination with the Barangay Captains, in order to identify training skills needed or wanted by the community.

While availment of TESDA scholarship grant through BKKK also discussed during the interview. PD Ordoňa said that applicants may go to their respective Barangay Chairman and list their name, age, address and course they want to apply at TESDA. The ABC President will collect the list of applicants and will submit to the Provincial Office for evaluation, applicants may also apply online at www.tesda.gov.ph/Barangay or go to Provincial Office for walk-in scholarship application.

Scholars will be entitled to free training and assessment. The Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) shall not exact additional training fees from the scholarship grantees.

PD Ordoňa also emphasized that in TESDA’s skills training scholarship program, no one will be rejected.
